We gamen er al jaren lustig op los, maar de populariteit lijkt altijd nog enorm toe te nemen. Daarbij is er ook een verschuiving gaande in de game industrie, mensen gaan meer passief gamen. Met passief gamen wordt bedoeld dat je kijkt naar hoe anderen gamen. Nu zijn er op kanalen van YouTube genoeg video’s te vinden waarin iemand een game speelt, maar live gaming, ook wel livestreamen van een game genoemd, brengt dit naar een heel ander niveau. Er zijn zelfs mensen die een klein inkomen verdienen met live streaming en er zijn echte professionals die er maandelijks een klein fortuin aan overhouden. Livestreaming is het streamen van je game naar een kanaal als YouTube terwijl je het speelt. De uitdaging is om zoveel mogelijk kijkers tijdens de livestream te trekken.
Bekende live streams
Momenteel is het Fortnite wat de klok slaat. Je ziet overal kinderen de bekende dansjes doen en vertellen hoe vaak ze een Victory Royale hebben behaald. Er is een oerwoud aan YouTubers die een sessie Fortnite online zetten en als je geluk hebt gaan ze ook nog een game live streamen. Bekende namen van mensen die hun games online zetten, zijn bijvoorbeeld vthorben en Enzo Knol. Naast Fortnite zijn er natuurlijk veel meer livestreams te volgen, maar vergeet ook niet bij live gaming te denken aan een spel in het online casino van unibet.
Wat heb je nodig voor je eigen livestream op een gameconsole?
Misschien heb je zelf wel de ambitie om je liefde voor gamen met anderen te delen. Het is belangrijk om te weten wat je nodig hebt om te streamen en welk kanaal je hiervoor wilt gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld Twitch of YouTube. Het eerste waar je mee begint, is de juiste instelling. Er zijn inderdaad mensen die hier hun geld mee verdienen, maar dat is niet iets wat zo makkelijk gedaan is. Begin dus met de instelling dat je dit puur als hobby doet. Een livestream maken is vrij makkelijk als je over een console als de Xbox en de PS4 beschikt. Wil je zelf ook op beeld, dan heb je voor de Xbox een Kinect nodig en voor de PS4 een Playstation Camera. Verder is een headset erg handig als je er ook iets bij wilt vertellen. Vervolgens maak je een account aan op YouTube of Twich.tv en deze koppel je aan je console. Daarna is het nog een kwestie van een game starten en deze livestreamen. De rest wijst zich vanzelf.
Streamen op de pc
Game je al een tijd op je pc, dan beschik jij vast al over een zeer krachtige pc. Een standaard pc kan de spellen van tegenwoordig niet goed genoeg aan en zeker als je aan livestream wilt beginnen, heb je een krachtige computer nodig. Verder halen de meeste streamers een goede microfoon en headset in huis en wil je zelf in beeld, dan hoort daar ook een camera bij. Download ook nog even Open Broadcast Software en dan ben je voor nu good to go.
